The Invoice Notes feature allow you to include additional notes or comments to either yourself and your staff and/or your clients. Having the flexibility of adding notes makes it easier for you to recollect what the invoice was for and for your clients to potentially get a better understanding of what it is they’re being billed for. Adding Notes to an Invoice You may enter notes when creating an instant invoice or updating the monthly invoice. Notes appear on the top right of the invoice. If you only wish you and your staff to view the notes, simply check the “Make Private” box. You’re your clients open the invoice, the notes will not be viewable as they will be hidden. Viewing Notes To view the notes entered in your invoices, simply navigate to the Invoices -&gt; View Invoices screen. There you’ll notice that we’ve added the Notes column. Simply navigate to Invoices -&gt; View Invoices and in the search drop down select Notes. Next, type in the text you’re looking for and BILLWAZE will show you the invoices that best match the notes text you typed into the system.

****Adding Notes to an Invoice****

****Editing Invoice Notes****  
From time to time, you may want to change the notes after your invoices were sent. You can easily achieve this by locating your invoice and from the Action menu selecting Edit Notes. See below illustration:

In situations where you find yourself needing to find an invoice based on notes, you may now do so in a simple and straightforward way. Simply navigate to****Invoices -> View Invoices**** and in the search drop down select****Notes****. Next, type in the text you’re looking for and BILLWAZE will show you the invoices that best match the notes text you typed into the system.
