Automated Clearing House Network or ACH allows your clients to initiate money transfers from their bank and directly pay your invoices right through BILLWAZE. Integrated with STRIPE, you can potentially save thousands of dollars in transactions fees. There are no additional charges from BILLWAZE to use this feature. While it may take up to five business days to receive ACH payments from your clients (industry standard), ACH fees are minimal compared to credit cards. At the moment of us publishing this article, Stripe ACH payments cost 0.80%, capped at $5, with no monthly fees or verification fees. So, a $100 payment incurs a $0.80 fee; any payments above $625 cost $5. This can be especially useful if you routinely charge customers large amounts on a recurring basis. Regardless, over time substantial savings may be realized as a result of this popular feature. Setup Requirements:<ol class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__ol1"><li value="1" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">You must be a United Stated based company.</li><li value="2" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">You must use STRIPE as one of your credit card processors.</li><li value="3" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">You must have a PLAID account for clients verification purposes ( see below bullet items)*.</li></ol> * To avoid the inconvenience of having to create and verify microdeposits, BILLWAZE has integrated with PLAID (https://plaid.com/) for quick verifications of client accounts. How to enable ACH within BILLWAZE Using the menu on the left, navigate to Admin Settings-&gt;Credit Card Processing. Once you have STRIPE enabled, you will see the “Enable ACH via PLAID” button appear under the “STRIPE” form. You will need the following PLAID information to properly setup ACH:<ol class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__ol1"><li value="1" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Client ID*</li><li value="2" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Secret Key*</li></ol> * This information can be found in PLAID. Once they approve your account, login to the PLAID dashboard and select “Keys” under the “Team Settings” drop down, located toward the top right of your screen. When paying using ACH, BILLWAZE simply accommodates the communications between STRIPE and PLAID so payments can be processed on your behalf. This process is repeated every time a client wishes to process their payments using ACH. How does BILLWAZE handle ACH and How to view Payment Status?Just like any other invoice paid, ACH paid invoices will appear under Invoices-&gt;View Invoices. Fully paid invoices using ACH will appear on the Payment Status drop down menu under: All, Paid, Outstanding, and ACH Pending.
